Question Front Door Speaker Size?

Can Anyone Tell Me The Size Of The Speakers To The Front Door To A "99" Sentra. Can Someone One Give Some Advice On What Would Be Best To Put In And What Do Tweeters Do? I Have 6x9 Kickers In The Back I Would Perfer The Front One's To Be Kickers Too. If U Can Also Give Some Info. On What Sites Or Someone Selling A Body Kit And Altezza Tail Lights For A Reasonable Price. Would Very Much Appreciated.

Re: Front Door Speaker Size?

Fronts are 6.5" with a 2" mounting depth. If your speakers are deeper than 2" you'll need spacers so the magnets don't hit the window.

Before you get some speakers I recommend you do some reading though, you'll be able to get something much better than kicker for the price. And if you don't even know what a tweeter is (no offense, we all have to start somewhere) then you won't be able to differentiate between a quality speaker or a crappy speaker by looking at the specs, which means you could easily pay way too much for something that sounds worse than stock.

BTW - A tweeter is the small ~1" speaker that comes as a separate speaker in component systems, or it sits inside the cone on coax speakers. It's job is to play the high frequencies the larger mid can't play.

Re: Front Door Speaker Size?

Rockford has got some decent mids but I personally think they're overated. Boston has got a decent line at a discounted (but still not cheap) price this year.

even if you plan to buy speakers over the internet, go to a dealer and listen to as many speakers as posible. then go the the next store and listen to some more. components will sound better because you can place the tweeter in a better location than on the speaker. i put my tweeter just above the factory grill on the door panel. it sounds great and has awsome imaging. i compete so i have expensive stuff but you dont have to spend alot to get good sound. Oz makes a cheap component set that sounds good off of a factory head unit. Orions coax's sound good and have alot of midbass. nakamichi has some bad ass coax's but they are a big speaker. i would recomend going to a dealer and haveing them install it if you have no idea what you are doing and dont have the proper tools. i know they cost more but you get what you pay for.
You can get a good pair of speakers for about $100-200. all of the ones i listed are in that range. if you want good sound dont go cheap. you will regret it.
hope i helped.
any more q's just ask. i have been installing profesionaly for 3 years and have been in car stereos for about 10. i have seen alot of stuff.
