What size are front SPEAKERS?
What size are the front speakers in the 3000GT. My passenger front dash speaker has been blown since i got it never got around to replaceing it now iam finally doint it. Can somebody tell me what size. I think it's either a 3.25 or a 4" not for sure. Can somebody help

i have a 94 and my front drivers side speaker it totally blown, and the one on the passanger side on the upper dash also has a very loud rattle if i have the balance even, so i keep it towards the drivers side.

On the other hand I did not know you can get to them from the top. Are you sure you are talking about the 2-1/2" speakers on the dashboard (95 and over model) ? There is a grill there, and it looked ( I can't look now, I am out of state) like the grill was somewhat under the dash... Thanks.

yea the grill is part of the speaker. You gotta be carfull get a flathead screwdirver and try to dig under it and it should pop right off.

In general I found that the sepeaker was totaly fine. The plastic bracket that is molded on to the speaker was cracked in a few spots, and thus was vibrating ... A few drops of super glue, and everything is golden. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. By the way for those that are looking at replacement, there looked to be enough room (after cutting some plastic) to mount 3.5 speakers, but you would have to find a nice grill to cover up the cut dashboard. (should look fine at the end).

yeah the dash speakers are only factory replaceable $60 a piece...mine are blown too, i'll get around to buying them eventually...although $120 on two of the smallest speakers ever sucks!!

If you are looking for dash speakers check these out. They provide better performance than stock and that price is for the pair (which is tons better than the stock price).
