Buying a second hadn 4x4 runner
Hi I am planning on buy an second hand car, and I was thinking of a 1998-2000 4x4 runner. Can anyone tell me how are they as second hand car? How much maintenace will be and do I have to put a lot of money for repairs after I buy one. THx for your help.

4Runners are very reliable if they have the scheduled maintenance done and not beat off-road. There are alot of them available so don't settle for anything less than a cream-puff.
Get a mechanic to look at it before you buy it. That will minimize the money you have to spend afterward. Don't buy one that has been obviously used off-road or one that is coming up on expensive scheduled maintenance like near 90K when the timing belt needs to be changed.
