Need a picture of someone's motor, please!

I now have an 89 SE / VG30E. I picked it up pretty cheap because it doesnt run too well. One of the reasons is (I think) a vacuum hose that does not seem to go anywhere, coming out of the left rear of the intake manifold, as you stand by the front bumper.

It is about 1/8" (i.d.) x 4" long, and then has a plastic piece that makes the size even smaller. I have no idea where it goes, and my chiltons manual is of no use.

Is there anyone that I can send a pic to, who can send me one back of where it should go? I cannot find anyone local with one of these (what did I expect in rural Missouri?) that I can just look under the hood.

Any help greatly appreciated!

I think this is the hose. I will post a pic of my motor tomorrow and maybe someone can help me.
