now correct me if i'm wrong but, i found this turbo from a saab 900. it's in really good shape. this guy told me that with the right plumbing (mainly do it myself plumbing) that it would fit my car? can i actually do this? it looks like a nice sized turbo.

Re: i heard this could work!!!!!!

turbocharging a car is not a hard thing to do, especially if you're not going to intercool it, yes you can put any type of turbocharger on any kind of car granted you have enough space.. however, you would need a HECK of a lot more stuff than just plumbing.. even boosting at 4 or 5 psi you will need better fuel management, higher flow fuel pump, wastegate(if the saab one doesn't have an internal wastegate) some sort of ignition modification, bov is optional but if u got the money definitely go for it (it sounds soooooooo sweet) a brand new manifold (how bout giving your old headders to me ) oil lines and stuff, and much more...
sorry to ramble on, but i just want you to know you need way more than a few pipes and lines to get a turbo working properly... just my

great. i found this turbo for $100 and it does work. and yeah i kinda knew that i would need alot of that stuff. but hey, i'll be doing this alot cheaper than going the whole kit route. damn this is great. as for the header, as soon as i get this turbo going, its up for grabs.

Re: i heard this could work!!!!!!

if you put a hole anywhere in your exhaust system it will become very loud, and very non-carb legal. if you're looking for a loud exhaust system and don't care about being street legal, rip the baffles out of your muffler.. that'll make you nice and loud, and a cop magnet.. my suggestion would be to buy a good quality cat back system or do nothing at all

Re: i heard this could work!!!!!!

it depends what kinda quality of muffler you want to get, if you want to get the whole cat-back system, or if you can get pipes custom made for you... a decent catback system (tanabe) will go for around 500ish.. a universal muffler will be about 220(tanabe) or if u want to go cheap just go to canadian tire.. or if you're in the states, pep boys or autozone or something.. just take a look around and ask some of the guys that work there.. i'm sure they'll be happy to help u out

Re: i heard this could work!!!!!!

alright.. first of all, i gotta get this off my chest... RICE!! FREAKING SOY SAUCE RICE!!!.. before doing that... why don't you spend your money on some performance parts? no disrespect, but i can't stand it when people make their car look 'good' without having something under the hood to back it up...

Re: i heard this could work!!!!!!

The only reason im not getting performance parts is becouse i have 7 tickets and 8 points on my license and im not willing to lose the license for racing...and i dont have the money to pay for that stuff and i have no clue what parts i need and any of that kind of stuff...first im gonna worry about the look then add the other stuff...
