If you spent $5000 on a built engine and stayed N/A (no N20) you might beat a bone stock GS-T.

Re: if i did this could i beat this

Actually if you did pistons(10.5) with a ported head cams, a biggerTB, and all the bolt ons you should beat a stock GST.

isn't the 4g63 (n/t or not) a lot stronger than the 420A?

i thought the old ones had 120hp and the 420's have 140hp? if i were you i'd spend the money to turbo charge ur ride and yank all the weightout of it and get a good daily driver....or keep it as ur daily and buy a GSX!!!

The 4g63NT comes w/ 135hp and 126lb/ft torque, The 420a has 140hp and 117lb/ft torque and the 2g is heavier than 1g. But the 4g63nt is slightly more powerfull and responds to mods very well, better than the 420a. Also the 420a is a chrysler engine, dont know how much i trust a chrysler engine.

My goal is to have a faster 4g63NT than the stock turbo car. I have pretty much accomplished this, but the turbo car still seems to be faster on the highway than me (65mph +)

Re: if i did this could i beat this

What questions still exist? You will need a lot more work than that to make up for a turbo. In theory, 70hp is to make up for, and I don't think it's going to happen that easily.

Re: if i did this could i beat this

i had a rs eclipse before i got my gsx and for the money you would spend on fixing up that car to beat a stock gsx or gst you would be better off just to buy one. I knew a person with a gs and they had cai and cat back exhaust and headers cams and he went through i think it was 4 of the 420a motors but he could keep up with a gst because he had the neon rt transmission, in short just but a turbo
