Question GTP Sluggish at 40 mph

Hey everyone. I have a 1998 GTP with about 94K on it. I have done a couple mods:

Magnuson nose drive
3.4 pulley
Thrasher Intake

This thing runs good overall, but lately it seems sluggish at around 40 or so. The only way around this is to lay into the accelerator to give it more power. I bought the car used at 86K so I dont know if it needs a tune up or not. Has anyone had the same problem? If so what brand of plug/wires, etc. do you recommend?

Thanks!

Re: GTP Sluggish at 40 mph

This is a common problem, it can be cured with an aftermarket PCM if your talking about it being sluggish even when you step on the pedal heavily. DHP pcm will drop 2 gears instead of the stock 1 gear. You will notice a HUGE difference.

If your talking about throttle responce, at 40mph your in 4th gear and at low rpms your seeing some vacume instead of boost. Just lay in to the pedal some more, or look at getting a High Volicity Throttle body.
