Hey all,
I have a 1996 Toyota camry 4cyl. , the stupid light that is supposed to indicate a brake light is burnt out comes on over time I start my car and hit the brakes. I replaced all bulbs, and all bulbs are functioning. WHat can I do to either fix the problem? Or unhook the stupid indicator? Thx

Re: Dash Light-Brakes?
all the cars do that. i would break one of your taillights to justify the light.

After being distracted by the indicator long enough, especially during night-time driving..it really does make you want to break something...I think maybe I'll just unhook that light...

Re: Dash Light-Brakes?
Make sure you check the cyclops light also, but if it is working the next step is to replace all of the brake light bulbs with the SAME lights because the failure module looks for different resistance between the lights. So if they are all new/all the same the resistance will be the same.Assuming they are all the same the next guess is the module itself.
