In the market for an Airbrush-what do I look for???

I think I am finally ready to start using an airbrush due to the more choices of colors to use if nothing else. anyway I do not really know the first thing when It comes to knowing what features I need and such. I had a cheap testors airbrush kit from wal-mart when I was a kid so I pretty much know how one works and how to use one, I just figure a better quality one will be easier to use, mantain, & clean. DOes anybody here know a specific brand or type I need?? I do not want to spend a house payment on one but I am ready to spend a goodbit for the right setup. any ideas??

Re: In the market for an Airbrush-what do I look for???

before christmas i spent a little under $200 for an airbrush and compressor, I got an Iwata. I picked this brand after it was suggested to me and i also did some googling on the subject. every brand you find a few who love them and a lot who hate them. I never once found anyone saying anything negative about Iwata.
here is a link to a thread a while back where i posted links to the brush and compressor i picked up.

look for my posts.

also, if you do a search you will find all kinds of info on here, do several searches b/c every time you do you get diffrent results. I got the best info by searching by thread titles only.

If you have any more questions about this airbrush or compressor just ask, i love them and make the hobby 10x better for me personally.

don't settle for anything less than an Iwata!!

Iwata Revolutions are cheap and they offer wicked performance, more than enough for automotive modelling.
