Re: Tamiya or Aztek Airbrush's
I've heard that Iwata builds Tamiya airbrushes, if that is true then they would be the way to go. Most people tend not to like the Aztek, it does come with a lifetime warranty though. I have an Iwata Revolution and couldn't recommend it highly enough. For large jobs I also have a Paashe H single action, basic but excellent.

Re: Tamiya or Aztek Airbrush's
I think it was RallyRaider who suggested to me to get an Iwata airbrush, so I did because i did a search and could not find a negative word spoke about the brand. Very simple to use, can be used for large and small areas without any problems, and they look cool as hell.
If you would like I Have several links to places that sell them the cheapest, I also Know where to get a nice quiet compressor for $99.99 and that includes a tank! |

Re: Tamiya or Aztek Airbrush's
I've heard bad things about the Aztek ones. From everyone.
I have a Badger 200, a cheap (almost $100) single-action brush and it's given me pretty good results. One of the better inexpensive brushes. |

Re: Tamiya or Aztek Airbrush's
I love my Aztec. Had a 470 since they first came out and while the body looks crappy now (coverd in paint) it still works great. The self contained haed makes clean up a doddle, and is cheap and easy to replace if it does clog up. To be fair I've not used an Iwata brush, but I might try oone later this year...

This one
I got it for christmas, It was also suggested to me by a member here in the same thread rallyraider suggested This Airbrush. The compressor is very quiet, comes with a regulator, and is useful for many other things than just airbrushing. It comes with a hose and several other accessories for inflating tires, balls, and other things. |

I currently have both a single action Badger and a double action Aztek. The Aztek is great when it doesn't leak, which mine does on a regular basis, it may just be a duff seal somewhere but can't trace the problem. The Badger however seems to be 'bullet proof' other than a new sealing ring for the head had no problems at all. Had no dealings with Iwata myself but they do seem popular on the forum.

Re: Tamiya or Aztek Airbrush's
Aztek (aka testors, model master) are decent. Its easy to clean and parts are inexpensive. It does look and feel cheap however.
Iwatas (also tamiya) are the best; very high quality. If this is going to be your first, I also recommend the Revolution. I use mine to spray acrylic only as I find enamels are more difficult to clean off. |

I got the 2nd one on the page for $59.95. Love it, I think they have one with a smaller cup but where ever you find it It probally won't be any less. When i bought this in December this was the cheapest place. Do a google search, I found about 15 places with similar prices. |

Re: Re: Re: Re: Tamiya or Aztek Airbrush's
Well i went to the store today to check the prices and the info. The Tamiya one is a Badger 250II which costs 40 bucks and comes with a can. There were 3 different Aztek ones. The 220, 270, and 320. The 220 i think was 40, 320 was 60, and 270 was 50. Which do you guys think i should get. I have come to realize that since im a newbie to all of this paint stuff that i should get a cheap one first then move to heavy machinery, lol. Thats why i need some info on these 4 Airbrush's since they are the cheap ones and only ones i see around here, lol.
Thanx,
