Z71 5.3 High Idle After Driving

2000 Z71 5.3 idles high after driving for a while. When I first start it up it's fine, but usually by the time I get home from work it's idles about 1200rpm in D and about 1400 in N. Problem doesn't occur all the time, seems to occur more after wide open on the hwy with cruise set.

I've already cleaned the throttle body and inspected for vacuum leaks. What should I do next?

make sure the throttle plate itself isnt sticking open slightly.

after that, check the idle air solenoid.

as far as i know, these are the only two things that should affect your idle speed.

Not familiar with the air idle solenoid. Where is it? What does it look like?

Thanks.
