Rear Window Defrosters
I have a `94 GT and the rear window defrost doesn't work. The switch lights up, and it sounds like a relay kicks in when it's turned on, but not a single line on the window heats up. I had an `89 5.0 LX that did the same thing. Is this a fairly common problem for Ford, or Mustangs in particular?

Re: Rear Window Defrosters
I figured out what is ailing it. The little metal tabs (male spade connectors basically) are falling off the glass. In fact one has come off completely. the other is hanging on by a thread. So I guess my next question is, does anybody know if there is some kind of adhesive that will stick those things back on and allow contact? Or am I looking at replacing the rear window?

I'm not sure if you can stick them back on to make contact... I have a feeling you can't but it's worth a shot.

Re: Rear Window Defrosters
It would sure beat the price of a new window if I could. I guess I'll call a couple of glass places and see what they say.

Re: Rear Window Defrosters
I think it was the way the window tint was put on that screwed them up in the first place. Damn I hate that stuff, but it was already on the car when I bought it.
