Bad throttle position sensor, $ to replace?

Hello I have an 03 accord ex with a code 7 from ECU. Throttle position sensor. How much would one of these cost me? and where can i purchase one online? Have been looking all night and have not found one.

I am going to assume that you have a misprint stating that you have an '03 Accord with this code. Two things make me think this ... one ... the '03 does not have a code 7 ... and if it were an '03 ... you would be getting it done under warranty. I am going to assume that you have a '93 Accord with this problem.

That said ... the reason you are having a time trying to find a TPS alone is because Honda does not supply these separate. The only way to get one of these is to get the complete throttle body. Cost from Honda would be about $500

You can probably run one down on eBay ...

I have purchased a Throttle Position Sensor on Ebay for my '93 (u were right on misprint) Now I need to install it. Is there any tricks to doing this? or pretty straight forward. I.E. Yank old one out and put new one on...

This thread is 6 months old, and although your question relates to epic69's LAST question (which I'm sure he/she has gotten the answer to by now), it doesn't relate to the subject line.

I would think that you'd want people to answer your question. I personally don't open all threads - just the ones that have a subject matter that interests me. Since the thread you chose specifically addresses the COST of an TPS, I'd think yould WANT to open a new thread.

What's the problem with doing that?
