ABS Lite Stays ON
Last week my ABS lite came on and stayed on. Two days later the left front flex line blew and puked brake fluid all over my driveway. I replaced the line and bled that caliper and brakes are working fine except for the ABS. If I press the brake pedal and then start the van, the brake and ABS lite will go out like it is supposed to, but as soon as I release the brake pedal I hear a noise behind the dash like a pump or motor for about 3 seconds and the brake and ABS lite come back on. If the van is started without the brake pedal depressed I hear the motor noise and the lites stay on. A friend read the codes and told me that it read Code42(ESB or something). Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm losing hair from scratching my head so much.
Thanks Strap |

Re: ABS Lite Stays ON
When haveing problems with a break system that is equiped with ABS it can be a real bear to bleed the lines properly and I would suggest getting a pro to look at it.

Hello
if you have a Trans Sport 1990-1996 you can take an old laptop, build the interface from www.pontiac-interface.de and download the free diagnostic program for the ABS. |
