Motor Swap Fo 96 Grand Am Se

What could I swap motor with on at 96' Grand Am Se. My motor is blown and want to do a motor swap. Want want something other than the 4 cylinder that I have now. please help. I also need the easiest way to do it.

well the 3100 should swap into it with new mounts but it would just be easier to get a new 2.4. They can be built up and easily beat the 3100.

yea you could swap in a new 2.4L, or go for a 3400, or even a 3800 S/C. But the 2.4 would be the cheapest i would think.

Oh what the hell , slam a great big V8 in it and make it a rear wheel drive monster grand am like a few Ive seen around lol

a couple people on the forum grandamgt.com have done the 3400 in place of the 3.1

yeah the 3100-3400 swap is fairly easy, but It may be more dificult if you're coming from a 2.4, since you will need to reuse so 3100 parts to make it work (exhaust manifold, timing cover, fuel rail and injectors)
