I Have an '89 454 2500....The calipers should be a simple bolt on-off type..either an allen or hex bolt. It is easier to have a brake spreader tool which pushes the caliper back to install the new pads. It sould be that simple...

Re: 2500 burb brakes
my concern is with the rotors
Do you have to take the outside of the spindles off and push the studs out of the rotor and spindle housing and when you reassemble what torque do you tighten the spindle nut to???? |

I have a '96 2500. On the 2500's the rotor has an integral bearing which is pressed onto a mounting plate that has four bolts holding it to the spindle. Be sure to carefully disconnect the anti-lock sensor (it's plastic) or you'll break it when you take the rotors off. The 1500's have car type rotors, but not the 2500's
