go to turn engine over.........nothing happens
I have an 85 S-10, I have had it for about 3 years now and it has always done this, it doesnt happen often but sometimes I go to turn it over and there is literally NO noise coming from anywhere, but if I turn it over again then it will start right up. is this a starter problem or an ignition problem?

My parents had a toyota that did the same thing intermittently. The lights, radio etc would work but nothing happen turning the key. They gave the car away to a friend. He found the battery cable was corruded inside the insulation where you couldnt see it without cutting the insulation. Replaced both cables, no problems since. If not cable, then my guess would be the ignition switch.

It could be a bad ground, bad ignition switch, or a bad main relay.
