1993 Silverado CD Player Installation
Hello,
I'm wondering how to go about installing an aftermarket CD Player in a 1993 Chevy Silverado. I am pretty sure that CD Players did not come out until 1995(or so) in GM trucks. What accessories will I need(wiring harnesses, adapters, etc.) to install a CD Player in this truck, and will it fit in the dash without looking like garbage? I know the factory radio is huge compared to normal aftermarket decks. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. -Dustin |

I installed a cd in a 94 silverado I had last year...I bought the radio from crutchfield and it came with a new dash piece, looked really good. The radio control module will be removed (on the instrument panel) and they should give you a little box that will serve as a storage compartment inthat location...the actual cd player goes where your tape deck is now (kind of inthe center of the dash, below the two vents)...it was really pretty easy to install...the hardest part is getting the delco radio out...that thing is massive and is in three pieces behind the dash...if I did it...anyone could figure it out.
