Sub problems

Ok so earlier in the year someone jacked my system and the insurance sent me a new system. I got Circuit City to install in cause i didnt have the time. Well when I got my car back from them it sounded great. Then I got home unhooked the amp so I could fix my sub bux to the floor(cause the amp was mounted on the box) hooked everything back up and then turned on the car and the sub started goin crazy for like 20 secs. It would hit like 20 times in that time span then die down. Now it still played to the music but not like before. Everytime I would turn up the volume the sub would go crazy again like a machine gun and die. I've never blown a sub and was wondering if thats what happened...just wanted to know woudl it could be if not...

ps...all wires, etc were hooked up in the proper positions. just like when I got it back from the shop.

Lightining Audio 10in Sub
Jensen 780 watt amp
Tsunami 800watt wiring kit

Re: Sub problems

bring the AMP back to the manufacturer, or circuit city... You might have voided their warranty by screwing around with it... but whatever. when it's not broke, DONT FIX IT!!

well it wasnt that something was wrong with it....the sub box was sliding around, so i took the mounted amp off the box and hooked it all up the same as it was before...

Also are you saying that it sounds like my amp is bad then? if the sub is making that noise?

Re: Sub problems

they installed the box and did'nt secure the subbs to anything? what kind of moron did that install? I always secure my Subbs so they don't shift around, and damage the subbs, and or other stuff in the trunk.. Remind me to never take my car/s to Circuit City, or Best Buy for a system install.... I'll do it myself, and do it right...
