Talking Time to Sound Pathetic...

Well... recently I decided to grab a set of GTS blackouts for my '01 GAGT. I had to special order them from *blech* Autozone. When they arrived, I took 'em home and the next day at work, a snow plow backed into my front end in the parking lot -big shocker when I got out in the afternoon and saw pieces of Grand Am all over the parking lot -. Anyhow, my car is back into recognizable, perfect GA shape and I remembered my blackouts. Well, I opened the box and immediately something seemed wrong to me. The instructions they included for installation listed 3 methods that GTS products use.

1) Adhesive - Obviously not for the GAGT, as the tits on the headlights themselves make this rather impossible. Plus there was no adhesive to begin with.

2) Snap on - This is what I figured they'd be, but for the life of me I cant get the little bastards to fit over the rubber seal around the headlight, and I'd rather not try to slip them under the seal if that's not the way to get them on.

3) GTS' Dual Lock Blah Blah Blah Bracket System - There wasnt any "brackets" in the box. Just two blackouts and a useles instruction sheet.

My final, pathetic question... How the hell do I get my blackouts on correctly ? Did GTS screw up and not send me parts? Are they really snap on and I'm just stupid? Or is there some magical way for adhesive to really work without me going out and sawing the freaking tits off the headlights?

And another small question: Borla CB vs Flowmaster: Is the price difference worth the power/sound/appearance difference?

Re: Time to Sound Pathetic...

Ok , to fit those pretty lil covers you gotta put the lip over top the rubber light seal (ON TOP OF THE LIGHT) and when its over top push in the lower under the rubber seal , you can adjust it a lil side to side to fit better , the hood holds it in place when its closed. I had a few sets of these GTS light covers and got good enough at putting them on i didnt need to open the hood. Try with the hood open till you get used to it. ALSO - the plastic the cover is made of is very paintable inside and out or if you dont want to paint em they polish up real nice using any paint sealant or waxes.
