if you have a bad 02 sensor can it cause any other engine problems if not fixed right away besides bad gas mileage

Engine will run rich. It will in turn promote carbon build up on valves. Use a good fuel system cleaner regularly to kee this at bay. The catalic converter will be ruined by the over rich condition.
