6 pack vs 8 pack

How do you get one vs. the other? Is it just the length of your belly region? I've been losing my guy and now have a 4 pack (not very defined, but there). It seems as if my already 4 stayed the same size and i had another 2 (to make a 6 pack) there would still be a lot of room to my waist. An 8 pack would seem like it would fit better? BTW, i'm 6'2". So basically, does height have to do with this?

thanks

Re: 6 pack vs 8 pack

There are only 6 muscles in your abdominal region. Behind them and to the sides are your obliques that you can define quite well, but don't really look like an "8" pack.

Oz is right. But there is some muscle on the ribs between your pecs and abs, which can kind of make it seem like a person has an 8-pack.

Re: 6 pack vs 8 pack

This chart shows eight(and all others do too, some even show ten): http://www.casespecial.com/creati3.jpg

The bottom two are very hard to get defined though, unless you plan on being some sort of a body builder or something.
