Hello everyone, I have been reading this forum for some time now and have learn a lot from you guys. Now I hope you guys can help answer a quick question. I own a 98 Jetta K2 and I want to change the sparkplugs. I notice the #1 and 4 plugs is relatively easy to take out but the #2 and #3 is underneath the intake manifold. Do I need to remove the manifold to remover the two inner plugs or is there a trick to it? Also what should I torque the plugs to when the new ones goes in? Thanks!

Re: Do I need to remove the intake manifold to change Spark Plugs?
You will have an easy time, or at least not as troublesome if you remove it. Besides you don't want to mess up the threads when installing the new plugs.
