Racing Civic SiR against other cars plus pics

Last Saturday I went track racing, it was one of my last times. Gonna sell my car if i get accepted into an american university, so just going to fix all the dents and sell it in a good condition. It has been the funnest track day ever, lots of cool races. I did weight reduction in order to accomplish my best time at 5400 feet above sea level with a hot climate. Took of the spare tire, tools, jack, back seats and passenger seat. I made my best run, I concentrated and I was facing the christmas tree with nobody on the other side, alone, which takes off the reaction time pressure. I reved my engine up to 6700 Rpms and feathered the clutch, didnt dump it, my wheels barely spun, only a chirp. I accomplished a 16.647. So from all the different techniques ive tried feathering the clutch with no spin at high rpms is the fastest way. Most people just dump the clutch.

Theres my two time slips, i ran constant 16.6, 16.7s.

I raced some nice cars and was surprised to beat some of them.

I raced a Ford Lobo Harley Davidson pickup truck which i believe has a 4.6 supercharged LT1 engine producing 360 horsepower (around that)
These `totally ghetto guys came up to me in their pimpin harley davidson pick up truck ready to blast me. Didnt count on my driving techniques, and I got the truck by about 2 cars. I beat a supercharged V8 with a high revving 1.6 NA honda engine.

Theres the video
SiR vs Ford Lobo

I also raced a Seat Leon 1.8T (Spanish car company owned by VW) The car was a 03 model and it has the exact same engine as the Golf 1.8 turbo. 1.8 liter turbo 180 horsepower 6 speed. I took him three out of four times, so proud of that race.

Race at night (pimpin with neons and strobes)
Race 1.8T night

I also raced a Chevrolet Astra GSI. Same as american cavalier z24 with the 2.2 liter 145 hp engine. I didnt drive that well, but i still took the NA 2.2 liter by 2 cars and a half.

2.2 liter 145 hp

My other race was against a 2000 civic SiR, had some bolt ons, i am stock and i fucked him.

SiR EBP VS SiR VSM

A video of my car at night with neons and stobes on.
Neons Strobes

Those were my interesting races. Some times that stock cars are pulling on my city are as follow: Mustang GT 98 16.8-17.0, Mustang GT 2003 15.9, Camaro V8 15.7.

There were also some nice cars. A guy had a 2003 GT mustang he was pulling 15.9-16.0 and when he sprayed 100 Shot he said, he was pulling 13.8. Damn such a difference.

Some pictures:

My ride after the track at my house

My ride at the track parking lot a friend on the pic

A BMW 7 series v-12 20 inch crome rims at the track, running (mid 14s)

A mercedes 55L amg with 20 inch chrome rims, runnin high 12s

An Audi S6, Mustang and mercedes (audi S6 runin low 15s)

I videotaped, passed it to the computer, posted, took pictures everything so you guys could see it. Is this a GREAT post or what?

Peace, MEXSIR

LT1 is a Chevy based motor. Was in the 1992-1996 C4 Corvette and the 1993-1997 4th Gen Camaro/Firebird. The 1994 - 1996 Buick Roadmaster, Cadillac Fleetwood, Chevrolet Caprice, police cars and the Impala SS got the 5.7L with 2 bolt mains and cast iron heads and was rated at 265hp. There was also a 4.3L LT1 available in the big cars which is indistinguishable from the 5.7L, except for the different casting number and 4.3 cast into the top of the block just ahead of the bellhousing flange.

Ford makes a Triton 4.6L SOHC 3v V8. But I think what they put in the trucks for the supercharged applications is the Triton 5.4L SOHC 3v V8.

Good videos.
