Revell Monogram Integra TypeR kit?

Ok i've had this kit for awhile i just got it for the motor but since its here i might as well put it together...any way i was trying to fit the US Type R lip onto it and noticed that it didn't fit its about 2 or 3cm longer width wise than the front bumper...so how do i go about fixing this?

i noticed if i push the part of the lip that extruding in wards into its place it doesn't look too bad so i figured what if i heat up the plastic a little and bend it to fit the bumper? pros cons?

or i was thinking of cutting the lip in half and shaving a little bit off the lip to fit the bumper and just glue it together again?

what do you guys think?

dont have to heat it up
use some ca glue and instant bond spray
that always works for me
hehe

haha ok so your saying to just push it into place and glue it up? lol ok that sound fair.

also im going for a clean JDM look for this car...small exterior mods...not too sure what mods to put yet...maybe spoon mirrors a small lip wing in the back, carbon hood? im not sure its a bit played out with or with out what do you guys think? Spoon rims or Mugen rims maybe 15s or 16s on a really nice lowered stance, type-r style interior, unless i can find another motor if not then this car is going to be motor less kus the motor this came with is already getting worked on to be swapped into my CTR -=o] if i do get a spare motor im putting in a nice idividual throttle body set that i have from my spare parts box from my old Mobil 1 NSX.

any suggestions? I'm also debating on color??

-Championship White
-Gunmetalic grey/silver [s2000 paint]
-Laguna Seca M3 blue
-Silver
-Black
-Yellow
-Ferrari red [orange-red]
-::insert your color here::

thanks for your help and opinions!

Re: Revell Monogram Integra TypeR kit?

Nooo, in Us, the Type R lip is similar to that of the mugen, but it doesnt hang as far down, and it is flat. the one you're using is a gsr lip, I used it as a chin spoiler on my previous itr.

Re: Revell Monogram Integra TypeR kit?

Well, I'm pretty sure I've seen stock bodied ITR's at honda dealerships with those lips on them. Anyway, good luck with your project, great to see more around here.

No, the US ITR lip is what DriftEVO5 is showing. The GSR never came with a lip so forget that option.

well anyway either one i've pointed out which lip i'm using.

i've decided to cut the lip in half and sand off the amount needed to fit it on...i noticed when i pushed the lip to fit the bumper it flexed in the middle causing the lip to sit out more and down so that wasn't to nice looking...like bad polyurethane kits. -=oP

also im having a hard time deciding what rims to use...im leaning in using 15/16in rims but from what i've seen online there aren't too many rims in those sizes -=o[ i was thinkin of the Spoon SW's but thats hella played. also thought about getting the Advan TCII's which look to be 17's or the Work Emotions in 17in unless i can find the Emotions in a smaller size which would rule!

Work Emotions

Advan TCII

Spoon SW388

any suggestions?

also looking for suggestions on colors??

thanks guys.

Re: Revell Monogram Integra TypeR kit?

no pics....btw, can you tell me why theres a bone stock bodied 96 itr 5spd with the lip that has holes in it, and btw its not a lip, its fastened onto the front clip where a regular smooth faced one would be.

Re: Re: Re: Revell Monogram Integra TypeR kit?

Umm...personally, your wrong. but since this thread isn't mine I wont argue, but I'll state the point that the ITR was available until 99 or 00 when it was replaced by the RSX, thank you and have a nice day.
