shifter ?

is there a big difference between all the shifters out there? like proshifter50 and hurst, etc. is it just personal likes, or is there a shifter that is really superior to the rest? or does it only matter if you upgrade tranny. it would be on a stock tranny in a 97 gt. thx!

Re: shifter ?

well I my self will say Hurst is the only way to go. I heard BM does better auto shifters but for stick Hurst is best.
Either way i'd get a Hurst for my car *if she didn't already have one =)*

It's all personal preference... The Pro-5.0 is the number #1 selling short shifter for Stangs. I'll tell you it is the most agressive of them all and has the shortest handle which some peopl elike and some don't. But wether it's pro5.0, Tri-AX, Hust, B&M it's all personal feel. And yes it is very good to have on a stock tranny.
