check engine light 95 tocoma

i was driving home one day and my check engine light came on i tried dissconecting the battery to reset the computer but after a few hours of driving it came on again are there any comon reasons for this

Its something serious enough to trip you check engine light right away. It could be something like a dirty maf or a blown cat converter gasket causing a faulty o2 reading. Invest in a inexpensive universal code reader for about $100.00 at your local part house. They are worth it if you plan on repairing your own truck. I also have a 95 tacoma.

if you don't feel like dropping $100, most auto parts stores will check and print out the codes for you free of charge.
