Any one running a NOS kit on their skyline yet?
If so, what size nozzles are being run? I'd imagine the RB25DET can take 50 to 100HP no problem however if we have any other views fir away! I have a few Nitrous kits to choose from (different manufacturers) and they have different value depending on the horsepower jetting I'm after. |

The money is better spend on turbo related upgrades.
fmic, boost, exhaust etc etc. Temporary 50hp, or permanent 50hp? I know what ill choose.

There are plenty of manufacturers making them to different applications.
The most affordable and easiest to set up is a 'dry' type. There is only a plumbed line for the gas, it depends on the fuel enrichment by the existing fuel supply. Zex make a funky looking kit with microprocessor control, three wire setup, goes for $400-550 US, smallish bottle though. For the same dollars you can get an OZRACE, 10% discount refills at CIG or BOC in Australia. The NOS gives more than just the horsepower the jets are for, on a turbo as they lower intake charges (ALOT!), lower revs for peak power production by 500RPM or so (more torque/better times) and can greatly reduce even eliminate lag effect when setup to do so. NOS/Holley even offer a Nitro-cooler option where by some pipes and a regulator are routed around and stuck to the intercooler (say hello to the open fridge door!) 100HP+ for $1000 on Nitrous. Turbo mods are permanent and so is the loss to fuel ecconomy and drivabillity. It is much more expensive to achieve similar results with turbo jiggery pokery. I'm not saying you can't do that too mind you. But, in Oz there are only two states with permissive NOS laws and WA aint one of them! |

not yet mate. roll cage etc.. is all complete. it's going to get the cage painted, new carpet and fix the front spolier then it's off to Subzero Performance to get the motor put together then fabricated a plenium, exhaust manifold, exhaust, 65mm external wastegate(they make them in house), intercooler, transcooler, radiator etc..... so say 3 months or so ready for the Easter Nationals in melbourne.
