Question Which Nitrous kit on the Civic, ZEX or Nitrous Express??

Just about ready to purchase a dry kit for my 94 EX I just bought 2 days ago. I am not sure if I should go with the ZEX kit for the Nitrous express. There is a good ZEX kit on eBay right now for $499 with the plugs included. I have heard though that ppl where gettin more power out of the nitrous express. Its a 55-75 shot kit.

Any opinions?? Or suggestions?

I'll sell you my ZEX kit for $300 shipped, comes with everything including installation manual (it's real easy, shouldn't take more than an afternoon to install). With a ZEX 55 shot all you'll need are 2-step colder spark plugs, NGK BKR7E's strongly recommended (you can order them from www.lakeeffectperformance.com). I've beaten Mustang GT's when it was on my dx engine, and ran a 14.9 in the 1/4. If you up the shot you'll have to do some more work though... You should buy ZEX for you Civic if it's stock-slightly modded, it's the safest kit imo. Oh btw, whatever you do, DO NOT GET ZEX SPARK PLUGS THEY ARE PIECES OF SHIT. They melt from the heat and fuck up your engine.. Just speaking from oh about 40 people's advice on another forum.

Re: Which Nitrous kit on the Civic, ZEX or Nitrous Express??

Hey! Thanks for the info! Do you have pics of your kit you have for sale? Is it used? I might be interested. I apprecaite the advise on the plugs, I was going to research the ZEX plugs a little before I ran it. But I figured if they were given them w/ the kit they were prob junk. The motor I am shooting to is a all stk 94 1.6 with 165K on it. I know your prob laughing like I am going to blow up, lol. I figured that might happen. But I own a performance shop and we have some ideas (secrets right now, Ill feel you all in lata, lol) that will improve some hp and torque when shootin. I didnt want to put alot of money into a car incase these ideas dont work or it blows up, then i wont loose to much money. Thanks again!

Click the link under my sig for all my parts. Yes it's used, but I've never had any problems with it. Just remember on an engine with 165,000 nitrous won't fix any problems you have, it will only make them worse. I learned that the hard way by installing it wrong... hence the DOHC under the hood now

I have a hacked* bottle warmer I'll throw in for free too

*I cut out the thermostat so it gets super hot. On a half bottle I raised the pressure from 500psi to 1200psi in about 15 minutes It will need a pressure gauge and ignition kill, because if left on it could blow up... especially if left on overnight or something! Please don't buy this if you're an irresponsible person.

Wink Re: Which Nitrous kit on the Civic, ZEX or Nitrous Express??

Yea I really wish I would of spent more $ and bought a car with lower miles just incase she does decide to blow . I had a 96 I just sold over the summer, only had 80K on it plus I had it lowered and a kit, wheels. Wish I would of kept it now, oh well project stk Civic is under way
