Angry F*cking shopping carts! (story)

check this sh*tty ass story...

i was at work (starbucks, next to a COSTCO ) closing up shop at around 9:00 PM, and my co-worker says to us, "guys check this out!" we all look outside, and it's HELLA windy. trees swaying, leaves blowing, trash being thrown around in the parking lot.

and out of nowhere, a f*cking costco shopping cart starts rolling towards my car from about a good 25-30 yards away. and of course, the parking lot is slightly slanted, so the cart is not only being pushed by the wind, but it's also rolling down hill towards my car.

my co-worker unlocks the door, i bolt out, jump hedge, and as i land, the cart (big metal cage) f*cking PLOWS into my car. BIG ASS dent (the whole front end of the cart), gouged paint

and guess what? goddam $3,000 to replace the rear quarter panel. costco's not gonna go sh*t. and the worst part, after i jumped the hedge, i was only maybe 2-3 feet away from catching the cart. F*CK i'm pissed!

Re: F*cking shopping carts! (story)

you can probably take them to small claims court for that.

Re: F*cking shopping carts! (story)

take a picture, let me look at it. you could probably drill a hole in the middle of the dent (panels on integras are like 1/32" thick) and put something in there with sort of a hook shape and pull out most of the dent depending on where the dent is. thats how most body shops do it anyway...

then you could have a body shop fill the hole and respray that section, that would run nowhere near $3000..

Thats one big-ass dent. You dont have to change the quarter panel and spend that much money though.

This would be a better option IMO...

Re: F*cking shopping carts! (story)

Man! That is some whopping big-fat dent! Sorry to hear that.
I've got quite a few small dents on the side of my 01 Integra, thanks to those door-banging morons, it was just painful! I also have some dents and scratches on the front bumper, da cheap plastics. Only the rear bumper was solid enough. I had backed up into a doge neon's left front bumper once, caused similar impact on the neon, just like in the photo, and zero damage to my Integra ... boy, wasn't I lucky!
