SAS 2004 - Projects, plans and ideas

Due to so many requests asking what's to come from SAS, here's a list of what I have planned this year. First of all I'll point out that most of these are mainly projects I'd like to do but could possibly not happen due to time restraints, boredom or natural disasters With a planned move to Manchester this Summer modeling time could be drastically reduced as i face the prospect of getting a real job again

Anyway, currently on my desk and due for release late March early April are;

ReAemiya 2001 Widebody FD3S - Rear light cluster and all 4 wheel arches complete

Do-Luck R34 - Not quite halfway yet but progress good.............................................. ..JUN/GP-Sports S15 - Over halfway on this one

Couldn't make mind up wether or not to bother with this coz of the possibility Tamiya doing one. Figured they won't get around to it for a while so thought why not! Work about to commence shortly

.................................................. ........................

Then onto stuff I hope to get around to later in year...

Drift Projects
DRFT S15 - Love this, gotta be done! The C-West bodykit likely to be stand alone t/kit then the chop top body as seperate item

HKS/Vertex S15

Vertex Soarer

Apex FD3S - Despite Aoshima's release I shall still go ahead with T/kit fot Tamiya's kit. Its got an engine afterall!

DRFT FD3S - May also do the new C-West RX7 as it has some of the same parts.

MAZDA
ReAmemiya FC RX7 - Despite the Tamiya kit not in production, there deserves to be a t/kit for it as its one of their best IMO

ReAmemiya FD3S 2002 Widebody - A spin off from the above mention 2001 version

NISSAN
350Z Projects
Top Secret Widebody - A Definate!

Veilside Version III

Espirit

INGS

Type E / Nismo S-Tune GT

Skyline Projects
Blitz R34 - Work has commenced

Top Secret R34 - Work commenced

Attkd R34

Attkd R32

Mines R34 V-Spec II - Artwork for decals has long been complete. Need to redo rear spoiler for this though

M's Factory R32 - Work commenced

Do-Luck R32

Falken R34 - Plus Nurburgring version. Endless and JMC decals also a possible spin off

Silvia projects
JGTC - Xanavi, Daishin and C-West - Full resin kit

TOYOTA
Top Secret widebody - A definate! Determined to do this as multi-piece t/kit and not a full body

Top Secret - Err...not so widebody

Do-Luck Supra

TRD MR2 - As multipiece t/kit (still not started this!)

HKS Altezza - A must but still not started

HONDA
Mugen S2000

That's about it for the t/kts although i'm sure i've forgotton some. Will also fit in time for more etched parts, seat harnesses to be next, artwork has been done for them. Recently started on some seats - Bride, Recarro and Sparco types - they are looking pretty good i have to say! Hope to have these released fairly soon so will post more details nearer the time. Decal sets for Nismo R34, Nismo 350z, Nismo 400R, Stradale and Makinen Evo still to get printed but this will get done in the coming weeks. Not to mention the long overdue tuner logos and graphics. Then of course more GT wings of various designs, APR, Top Secret, C-West, GP Sports, Apexi and INGS are likely contenders. I've not begun to decide on RX8 or V35 ideas yet either! Some nice stuff appearing for the RX8 though so i'm sure there will be a few more things to get added to the list.

Your views opinions and suggestions welcome - I always listen to you guys

I'm off the the modeling desk to get back to work on some of this lot

I like every idea! I'm looking forward to seeing the seats, the Mugen S2000, and the Top Secret 350z.

Chris, Fantastic 2004 lineup.
I've been wanting to purchase the Nismo 400 R transkit, but the only thing holding me back is the decals.
I know you mentioned a few weeks, but what is your ballpark target date?
Like I said, ony thing holding me back is the decals.
Thanks!
Chris

Fly... is the RE Amemiya FD3S body kit set including the front hood and bumper? If yes, I think I to start saving big cash on it... and I'm going to have a 3rd degree burn on my ass.

Re: SAS 2004 - Projects, plans and ideas

Hooray! Lots of RX-7 parts! I really wanted a light cluster like you've got in the works for the REAmemiya car for my current project... I guess I'll just have to wait for that to come out before I can finish. And the Mugen S2000... that will be great when my racer project comes around... And all the other stuff... Like the Top Secret Supra... I'm looking forward to what you've got on its way!!!

Amemiya! Do Luck! M's Factory! GIVE TO THE 8 SIDED ONE!

Though one of these days I'm going to start hounding you about talking with Bob (Zoom-Zoom MX-5) about doing a body master off of his MGB GT, and then offering a conversion to make it an MGC GTS (also known as the MGB Sebring bodykit)

See how agressive an MGB looks once you've added those beautiful Sebring flares? Enough to make Cobra owners (well, at least Cobra replica owners) quiver with fear.

And man do I want to make Cobra replica owner quiver with fear. Buncha posers. Oooh, look at me. I get to drive a British sports car without any problems because I used a bunch of 5.0L Mustang parts under a fiberglass body.

Pansies.

Many times. They are not easy to make or cast but I have a few ideas for this year. Going down the road of modifying or converting existing kit or diecast rims. Started learning to use lathes and mills a while back but it will be a long time before I have the skills to make rims using those machines. The option of having them made for me is too expensive too.

Why let it hold you back? The decals can be added to your model at a later date. This is why i didn't worry about releasing the t/kit without the option to buys the decals for it. They will be a seperate item anyway - around £2-£3 so if you want to get the kit i could sort out free post on the decals later As for release date, depending how busy the printers are, around the end of April.

Its always hard to say. I juggle between several projects at a time, some run smoother and come together quicker than others, some may turn out to be not possible and some may never get done at all! Aiming to have seats ready in next 3weeks or so as they will have etched parts for the rails, Re FD, JUN S15 and DL R34 likely to be ready by mid April if not earlier.
