Re: supercharging

The process of swapping them is too difficult. You would be better off just buying an L67 (the supercharged engine) and dropping it in. You would have to replace the heads, fuel system, lower intake...engine computer...the compression would be higher. The pistons are not as strong..etc etc.

Re: supercharging

First you would need to lower your compression, change your fuel system, replace the heads, pistons and rings are questionable, modify the intake (which is peanuts), change the engine computer, lower your engine mounts (I'm not 100 % sure since it is the same frame and mounts). Your best bet would be to check with Chevy and the new 04 Supercharged SS Monte Carlo. I wouldn't doubt that you could possibly by the same set up from your local dealer. Watch it though. If your vehicle is under warranty, it will be voided in no time. All in all, the modifications you are looking at would cost you around $6000 to $8000 Canadian.
