My mom is getting the Collectors Edition this weekend for my birthday. And i have always heard this was an awesome anime and some of my firends have told me to get. exactly how good is it? i have heard that it is very gorey and also alot of action

I've got it... it's a classic (as far as anime films go)... the manga is about 10,000 times better though.

It's sweet as hell, but the dubbed version is pure evil =( Unfortunately, that's the only one I have at the moment, but I have watched it in Japanese w/subtitles before, and it's so much better.

I loved almost all of it, but I still have a thing against the tentacle motif... it just creeps me out =P
