CAI / WAI Intake design plans
I want to build a CAI/WAI for my GPGT does anyone have the design for one I could use to build mine. also include where to get the right materials, and after installation what to do with the PCM? its probably not a good thing to leave it hangin out.

Personally, I wouldn't go with a HAI. However, I realize not everyone wants to spend the money for a prefabbed CAI. Do a search on the national GP board. There's a ton of threads about home-made Fender Well Intakes.
As for securing the PCM, you can buy a factory PCM tray for the 2001 Blazer for around $10. It works well in the GP. The GM part number is 15995679. Good luck. |

Re: CAI / WAI Intake design plans
Fenderwell intakes kick ass. Accept no substitutes. This is mine...and I'm sorry to say they are no longer made...

Re: CAI / WAI Intake design plans
Check this out http://www.zzperformance.com/zzp/inf...ns_airflow.htm
It explains breifly why adding bends to the intake is not really good. Also check http://easyperformance.com/, under the tech info section look for CAI Design Primer. They explain you why you should not have the filter too far from the TB and why adding bends to it instead of helping you would harm you more than you think. JoeJoe of course your setup is a lot better than the OEM airbox but would not harm to have the filter enclosed in a CAI closer to the TB. Check mine out, is not as good looking as yours but works.
