cold air intake design
i was just seeing what you guys thought of this set up for an intake. it would either be as the picture or with one pipe straight down. also...
where do you think i should put the air bypass valves. one in the middle or the two on the horizontal peices. thanks for the input

Re: cold air intake design
It'd def. be different, as far as the T connection, idk how good it would be for air flow, you do want a smooth flow with as little curves and turns and whatnot, as for the bypass valve, i'd just put the one you have there towards the top, no need for the 2 on the ends.

Re: cold air intake design
it would definitely be cool (aesthetically)
but i don't think it would improve performance... unless you throw some turbonators in it.. lol

Re: cold air intake design
Heyyyy, if that does work out, I have another project you might be able to help me with. I doubt it will add performance, but I could say Im the only cavalier that has it. Actually, I might need all of u to help me out here. Imma try to make an intake that goes to each hole on the front bumper. I doubt it can work cuz there probley isnt a hole to get to the front part of the front bumper, but if there is, it might just work. Heres a picture to better help u understand. Cept mine doesnt have lights blockin the airflow.

Re: cold air intake design
did you look at my pic. just do it like that except have the pipes run all the way to the side with the side of the filter right behind the holes. or get a 90 degree bend and get the cone K&N filter and put the front hole right there. auto zone also sells the aluminium funnel looking things. the have like a 4 or 5 inch opening that goes down to a 3 inch hole. you could mount two of those in the spots where the lights go
