Question Question

I don't know if I really disklike anything about the car, but if I had to answer the question, it would have to be that I didn't have two G20's. That and that it doesn't have much power, but that can always be fixed!

I love that when I go somewhere, people are staring at me and wondering what the hell kinda car I've got.

I was at the airport waiting in the no parking zone and this police officer comes up next to my car, here I am thinking he's gonna give me a ticket or something, and he's says to me, "Hey that's a nice car, what kind of car is that?"

What are some things you dislike about the G20/Primera? And on the flipside, what are some of the things you love about it?

Dislikes:

1) Sheetmetal dents very easily (P10). I have small dents, seen only from certain angles, on top of the fenders where I've pushed down to test the suspension. Don't do this!!

2) Factory clear coat marks very easily. Hopefully a valet can buff it up ok.

3) As withy all Japanese imports here, there is a lot of road noise from the tyres. We have mainly coarse chip roads in NZ and the NZ built cars have more sound deadening in them. My '86 Mitsi' turbo is much quieter than the T4.

4) Miscellaneous rattles in door lock linkages, vent linkages etc.

5) Suspension/seats a bit firm after more than 2 hours driving. (trade-off)

6) Expensive to do power upgrades compared to other vehicles.

Likes:

1) The best handling car I have ever driven.

2) The way the engine sounds when it's revved out. I like the way you can hear lots of induction noise when driving hard while there is little noise externally - good sleeper trait - doesn't attract unwanted attention.

3) Good stock brakes.

4) Good looking car - understated the way I like it. A car should go at least as good as it looks. Anyone else noted the similarity in the rear with the BMW 3 series cars of the same vintage?

5) Lots of them in NZ so parts are cheap.

6) Recaro interior, drivers seat is very supportive and adjusts in all the right places.

7) Not thief bait compared to GT Legacys and WRX Imprezas. Therefore cheaper to ensure.

8) Large trunk compared to 4 door Skylines (which I also considered before purchasing T4) and 60/40 split rear seat folds down to extend trunk.
