more i race the more oil goes bye bye

does any one else ave the problem that if they rag on their honda alot...and i mean alot..it loses oil...its eiter leaking or burnng...kind of doubt leaking b/c theres only a little on the oil pan and none any were else...about every 1000-1500 miles i got to add like half quart to 3/4 quart of oil...as for burnin there is def no smoke comin out...i was told by a mechanic that motors like mine are desighned to burn a little oil at
high rpm's....
any thougts..anyone..

My old d16 and current b16 engine burn(ed) about a quart between changes. It's normal.

try a different kind of oil. try a synthetic blend or an oil made for high RPM engines

Honda engines burn too much oil at high RPM's. If you use a heavier viscocity the engine will lose power and bog down, but at least you won't have to keep extra quarts of oil in you car.

Also check the oil pan gasket and tighten the bolts. It should'nt be covered in oil. High reving engines tend to shake bolts loose.

who makes a good synthetic blend that is good for high reving....not real in tune with whicj oil is the shit....

Mobil 1 syntec all the way baby.

When I used Redline it seemed like my car was grunting harder to go, and the stuff costs more than anything.

ok we just went over this is fuel systems class. If your engine burned one drop of oil every time your engine combusted the air fuel mixture, with a five qt oil system you would completely drain the oil pan in like 25 min. You always burn a little bit of oil every time a cylender fires. Its normal.
