95 Explorer power steering pump replacement

Any tricks to changing out the power steering pump? Mine whines but seems to still work ok except the noise is annoying. I read that the couplings on the hoses can be tricky and require special tools. Any tips appreciated!

Re: 95 Explorer power steering pump replacement

You will probably need a pulley puller. I assume it is the same as other years. Pulley has a notch that puller fits into. Should be able to get a loan a tool.
