Electrical Issues on my 1991 525 M50

I reall need someone to assist me. My radio, obc clock, wipers, sunroof, power seat, power windows, central lock, dome liight all stop working. It happened suddenly while I was driving and occassionally comes back on. It could hapen and stay like this for a 1 hr journey. I suspect a partial contact but need to trace the system where the positive supply or negative node of all the above is common. All the fuses in the hood are ok but I'm yet to check the one under the back seat and the fusible link near my battery. Thanks.

Try checking the 80 amp fuse link. This is in a box mounted just behind the battery with a thick wire connected to the battery. The cover unclips and lifts up. the link is a flat strip of metal under the two nuts clamping the wires.

Happend to me too! Lost wipers radio .....

that is the most common cause BUT only on E34/M50's with the battery in the engine bay...it was a poor design....................jb.
