Exclamation 2004 Cavalier

Hello to all...
I'm looking to get a new car - something economical and inexpensive. I have been doing a lot of research in the past few months and have narrowed it down to several cars. This weekend, I test drove several bare-bones 2004 cars: (All 5 speed stick with A/C only)
Saturn ION
Chevy Cavalier
Chevy Aveo

Tried to drive a Focus ZX3 but couldn't find one in the entire county with a stick - grrrrrrr

With that said, the Cavalier was the best price ($4,000 rebate) best ride, the most peppy (2.2L) and had the best rated gas mileage (26/37mpg).

I'm looking for some owners of Cavaliers to give me some honest pro's and con's about this car.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

I have only had my 04 cav for about 2 months. But it does get good mileage. And I can't say I hate anything about the car. Except I am 6 foot tall and when I where a hat sometimes it hits the roof. With chevy getting rid of the cavalier you may want to hold off and wait for the rebates to go up. And I think everyone will agree that the rebates should go up when the cobalts are delivered. Sorry I don't have a lot of pros or cons for you. The engine is peppy! Good luck.

Re: 2004 Cavalier

Nice to know. I experienced the same thing with the low roof line. At this time, that's the only thing I don't like about the car... I can live with that.

Thanks for the response.
