Re: so what kind of beat is for you!!?

I think Shadowy Men From A Shadowy Planet did the best driving music. They even used a psuedo-cover of their stuff in the old Cruisin' USA video game. The Pillows, Cracker/CamperVanBeethoven, Digital Underground and Trina, all also car faves. Sometimes when I am out doing the lazy Sunday drive, I will find an old Jazz station on the radio, which tends to make any trip feel like a little slice of "Mafia".

It depends, normally I listen to Jim Morrison and the Doors but when I'm getting into some spirited driving I whip out the R&B and anything with a pulse. I noticed I drive differently depending on the music.

Re: so what kind of beat is for you!!?

wow!!!.. it's amazing what variety of music people listen to while all drive the same car. EclipseDude, have you listened to Tiesto's new album Nyana?.. couple songs are pretty tite. what's your favorite mix of him, i'd have to go with "in my memory", "lethal industry" and "delerium's silence" and the newest "beautiful things"

Re: so what kind of beat is for you!!?

for the headunit, incubus, outkast, disturbed and mos def get pretty heavy rotation.

my changer has in order....
1. rage against the machine - ratm
2. rage against the machine - evil empire
3. rage against the machine - battle of los angeles
4. nirvana - in utero
5. nirvana - nirvana
6. 2pac - all eyez on me book 1
7. 2pac - all eyez on me book 2
8. wu tang clan - a bunch of songs i burned...
9. dmx - a bunch of songs i burned...
10. marilyn manson - a bunch of songs i burned...

and these all get heavy rotation as well. the discs in the changer never come out. these are all albums that i never tire of. ever.

beastie boys is awesome to drive to... when i jus feel like chillin a listen to alot of sublime... when i feel like bein aggresive(most of the time) i listen to stuff like cannibal corpse, slayer, superjoint ritual, killswitch engage, hatebreed. techno is graet to it jus depends on my mood on what i listen 2...the mood picks the music and then the music i puit in controls my mood and my drivin style

Re: so what kind of beat is for you!!?

Depends on the mood.. I can't listen to korn when I'm tired, but I don't do soft stuff when it's time to rock. current CD in the deck has:

Tenacious D, Chevelle, 36 Crazyfists (local, they ROCK!! dl their shit) and let's see.. Ninja tunes cd, downloaded that puppy.. awesome!

I like most music except sissy rap (you know the guys that sing? DONT SING, RAP!!)

Re: Re: so what kind of beat is for you!!?

i've been a DJ for 6 years or so, so mostly i have Mini Discs of my own live mixes of progressive house and trance. the CD's i have realesed are called: FunkHouseLogic, ProgressiveLogic, TranceFunkLogic, VR.1, VR.2, VR.3, and my latest is A.M.S: Inspire. and a mess of live recordings from clubs in So-Cal. i have 'in my memory' and 'delirium silence' on vinyl, as well as a couple of other sarah mclauglin [sp?] tracks like 'i love you' [BT rmx], hold on [BT remix]. im my cd player right now is DJ Dan Urb Mix Vol. 2. floating around getting scratched up in my car is Seb Fontain [prototype 01], Thee-o [morning majic], Richard 'humpty' Vision [Drop That Beat], NOFX [i heard they suck live], Face to Face [Big Choice]
