Take the time to look up the specs on both the cars and make an educated guess.

This has already been done by Sport Compact Magazine, I believe. And if memory serves me right, the Skyline beat the Mustang in nearly every aspect that they were tested. But what do they know, they seem to cater to rice/imports

Sorry bub, I would have to agree that a R34 Skyline would win that no doubt stock for stock.

Enlighten us on how you came to this amazing conclusion. The Cobra-R has around 70 more horsepower (approx. 400 vs. approx. 330, both cars are underrated) the cobra-r pulls 1G on the skidpad, the R34 GTR pulls .88G. Cobra-R 0-60 in 4.5; R34 GTR 0-60 in 5.4. Cobra-R Curb Weight 3590 pounds; R34 GTR 3672 pounds. The Cobra-R has more horsepower, does much better on the skidpad, accelerates faster, but the GTR is still faster cause it's a sKyLiNe YoOoOoO!!

According to car-stats the 1/4 mi. times are almost identical - would probably come down to the driver. On a road course, or anything other than a straight line, me thinks the Nissan would win.

Re: mustang cobra r vs. skyline r34 gtr

well I have had a ride in an cobra R my one step unlce works for Ford bought one used from ford at killer deal and I can't say i've ridden in a skyline but i'll say the skyline would have to haul to keep up with it. I think either way who ever owns either one of these cars wins. and there is a car compare fourms really post there not here.

Hey Skyline!

Er,...these guys:

http://www.jbskyline.net/R32/GTR/Specs/

give a 1/4 mi. time of 13.0 for the R32 GTR...is this bad info?

I don't know a thing about 'em, so I can only go by what I read.....what's up?

13.1-12.9 some where around there. The R32 is Godzilla

And here is the crazy part, GTR are made for road racing.

The R34 and R32 have almost the same drive train, and the R32 is about 250lbs lighter, you guys can do the math

Best driving car I have ever driven, point blank.

For straight line the Cobra, for the money the Cobra

For being different the GTR, for road racing the GTR, for the awe factory the GTR
