Question about rim fitment....

I know 18 inch rims will fit on a 98 4x4 Blazer with 255/55/18...Somebody told me that i shouldnt be looking for RWD rims cause they wont fit and the offset wont be right and that i need to be looking for FWD Offset rims...Cant i just find any set of rims that i like that are like 18x8.5 with the correct offset and just slap em on there?

You would need an 18X8 wheel with an offest of 42mm. There is no such thing as 'FWD offset' wheels. Most older cars/trucks had a 0 offset while most modern trucks/cars have a positive offset (even modern RWD cars).
