Exclamation 92 SHO timing chain(s) question

on the timing chain tensioner nearest the radiator, how can i tell if that is loose or not? There was a ticking coming from my engine and from the scope it seemed like it was one of the two cams, or possibly a loose chain. There is a small amount of play in the chain now.. maybe enough to make it come off that tensioner?!?! I dont know... any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Oh this car has 181 K miles on it, so take that in mind.. but taken care of... I have the intake, and the valve cover off now , so i would like to button her up as soon as possible.. thanks..
