Exclamation Problems With A 92 Rs 2.2 L Please Respond

Hey all, i just bought a 92 cavi for $200 with 126500 km on it, good deal right? well sorta it needs a new head gasket and alot of body work...so heres the problem...i can do the gasket and body work, no i need your help, the horn relay is working, the horn electrical is working but theres no beep.... is it the horn itself? second...i have no interior light... i think its just the bulb but im not too sure...its got continiuity and the bulb looked fine but what could it be? all the fuses are fine and everything else is fine. next one im trying to do some interior work...is there any way i can get the shift knob off ( its automatic) so i can remove the plate in the center console...?

your horn problem is porbolly just the connection. take off the horn and clean off the contacts with a wire brush and sum steel wool. there might be sum rust. i had the same problem and it worked after that, a good test to see if the horn is bad is just to hook the horn directly to your battery using alligator clips and see if you get a beep.

the shifter knob is held on with a clip that slips in in the front. if you place your hand on the shifter then feel down the center front you should feel it. just pry it out and the shifter will slip off.

Hey....I had this prob with mine, "thought" the fuses were all right, bought another horn...no go. Turns out that the horn is actually on the same fuse as the cig lighter (which I never use because it won't stay in anyways) but it wasn't marked anywhere. I replaced the 15 amp fuse and now the horn is fine. Cigarette lighter still sucks though.
