Re: problem with axle help please

If only 1 axle(left or right side) is giving you problems, only that side needs to be replaced. They don't need to be done in pairs. Don't bother with trying to rebuild the joints & re-booting, reman. axles are about the same cost & much easier/cleaner/quicker to do. When you replace the axle, your getting all new boots/joints/etc.

The first time i changed out my axles was on my 92 HB. Changed the driver side, then the passenger went out a month later. When i changed my 99 si, i did both. You dont have to, but if im gonna do one side, im gonna do the other too, save me the trouble when the other side goes.

just replace the axle thats got the ripped boot. go to autozone and get the 70 dollar lifetime warranty axles. i did and wound up breaking it again like 2 weeks later. it felt good to get that free axle
