Plz help, Pop-ups

ok this has absolutly nothin to do with cars but im hoping someone out there can help me. this past week i started getting large amounts of pop-ups, they dont stop, as soon as i close it another pops up, and they are all about pop-up blockers and cell phones. I actually tried a pop-up blocker but it did nothin and might have even made them worse b/c now i get some about other internet providers and even online deplomas. so if anyone can help me fix this PLZ do so.
oya i tryed deleting my cookies and history and the files through internet options but it did nothin.
so if there is a free or relitivly cheap program out there to get rid of these damn things plz point me in the right direction.
Thx

Download spybot search and destroy and ad-aware. It will locate any spy ware. Also try google toolbar if your using Internet Explorer. Or d/l Mozilla.

Re: Plz help, Pop-ups

Are they the usual popups that are in Internet Explorer, or do they say "Messenger Service" or something and have an OK button at the bottom?

Re: Plz help, Pop-ups

Try Avant Browser. It has built in pop-up blocker. Works wonders for me. There are other browsers that have this feature but this one works fine for me. It also has a feature where you can delete history, cookies, downloaded temp files, etc when you exit the browser.

Stop lookin' at PORN!
Really that and Kazaa are basically the 2 biggest causes for pop-ups.

Without a doubt they are.

I had so many pop-ups before because my cousins use Kazza a lot.

Re: Plz help, Pop-ups

I use zone alarm pro which seems to have a very agressive pop up blocker depending on what you set it on.

30day free trial.

If it looks like the ones I'm talking about in the 10th post in this thread (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...ad.php?t=82327), then you need MessageSubtract, to which there is a link in that post

i'll back up his advice too. But you might want to try the more streamlined version of mozilla: mozilla firefox
