Window pops going up plz help
Happy fathers day to all fathers and soon to bes first and foremost.
Secondly, I've been having problems with my driver front window on my 2001 Yukon SLT. About a year ago the regulator cable snapped and i had a birds nest of cable, so i got a motor/regulator kit from freebay and installed it with absolutely no problem. It was fast and strong and worked perfectly until now. The other day it went down and when pushed the button to go up it went up and slowed to a stop like it was binding, so i got out and pushed it up with my hands and freed itself and went back up. Now, when it goes up it goes up and POPS then goes up and POPS goes up POPS goes up POPS, but it doesn't take any longer than before to go up other than it binds/unbinds instantly when it pops. My question is this: what can i do to stop this and maybe save the regulator/motor before i have to put a new one in it anyways or should i just replace it all again. It wasn't expensive or hard to do it probly took 40 bones and 40 mins to change, but 40 bux is like what 2.9 gallons of gas? grrrr.. THANKS Tony

I had the same problem with my 2000 Yukon, ordered a window drive motor off Fleabay. After I received the motor, I removed the entire window drive assembly set it on the bench to inspect. As it turned out the plastic housing on the motor was broken causing the window to skip and jam or pop if you prefer. Ten minutes later everything was replaced and working like new.
