Porsche didn't make a 944 in 1977.....and they never made a 944 twin turbo. Did you mean 1987?
I used to drive a 944 as my daily driver. The turbo version (Porsche 951) has an inline 4 with a single turbo. Assuming your car is stock , and assuming you're talking about a stock 1987 944 Turbo (with 5 speed), it should be pretty even if run him on a race track. Whatever you do, don't race him on a curvy road.....he'll eat you alive. Last edited by carnutcass; 02-26-2004 at 02:10 PM. |

Re: GTP vs. Porshe 944 Twin Turbo
Well I was with PCA guys the other weekend on the track and the suckers are quick on the turns, BUT, if you know the road and drive the car on 3 with TCS off and performance shift on you would surprise him good. I assume that you are not stock, because they rev a lot quicker than you do
