When you start the truck will it start and not idle?
Will it not start at all?
Will it start and misfire?
Does the service engine light come on and if so what are the codes?

ready to get F**d or D*d*e

Does the Security light come on and flash?
Has anyone checked the coolant temperature sensor to see if it is reading the correct temperature?
Has this bulletin been performed ?

If the security light comes on, there is a code stored...have they done a diagnostic circuit check with the Tech2?
This will list all the modules that are communicating on the class 2 circuit and if they have a code stored.
Sounds like you may have a security problem.
